The 200G-SR8 platform based optical transceivers and active optical cables offer unique solutions for several applications like DC interconnects, 5G connectivity to antenna, HPC, etc. The use of analog CDR and 25G-NRZ modulation in a QSFP-DD form factor provides the ability to offer 200G connections and a variety of breakout options. The 8-lanes of 25G can be individually broken out in the 200G SR8 QSFP-DD to 8x Duplex-LC configuration for 5G applications or can be used in 4x 50G or 2x 100G configuration for network aggregation applications. The use of VCSEL array transmitters and CDR based receivers also allows these devices to be used in non-standard data rates for high performance computing application.
