100G Transceivers

Ridgefield Park, May 18, 2017 -Vitex LLC, a leading provider of high speed transceiver solutions introduces its new QSFP28 LR4 transceivers based on DML optics, adding to its existing 100G offerings. Vitex partners with Innolight, a trusted leader in high speed transceiver manufacture to bring high quality optics to telecom and datacom customers.

The new TR-FC13R-N00 is a 100Gb/s transceiver module designed for optical communication applications compliant with 100GBASE-LR4 of the IEEE 802.3ba standard. Incorporating DML DFB TOSA, this module will have shorter lead times and is a cost-effective alternative to the EML based transceiver.

TR-FC13R-N00 converts 4 input channels of 25Gb/s electrical data to 4 channels of LAN WDM optical signals and then multiplexes them into a single channel for 100Gb/s optical transmission. Reversely on the receiver side, the module de-multiplexes a 100Gb/s optical input into 4 channels of LAN WDM optical signals and then converts them to 4 output channels of electrical data.

The high performance cooled LAN WDM DFB transmitters and high sensitivity PIN receivers provide superior performance for 100Gigabit Ethernet applications up to 10km links. “The introduction of our new 100G QSFP28 LR4 module underlines our commitment to the ultra-high speed segment of the transceiver market,” said Michael Ko CEO of Vitex. “The DML based TOSA modules will ensure short lead times and continuity of supply which can be critical for our customers.”
